  Anthony ISD has three schools (PK-5; 6-8; and 9-12), where we anticipate a steady increase in enrollment over the next several years with the development of ho探花视频ing areas within the boundaries of AISD. For Texas UIL academic and athletic competition, Anthony ISD competes in District 3-AAA along with schools from Clint, Mountain View, Fabens, Fort Stockton, Pecos and Presidio. The mission of the Anthony Independent School District is to prepare all students for life and learning beyond high school taking advantage of their unique bilingual and bicultural heritage.

• BURNHAM WOOD CHARTER SCHOOL DISTRICT

  
  

  The mission of the Burnham Wood Family of Charter Schools is to work in solid partnership with the family and community in order to prepare children to accept responsibility for their own learning. This School offers students a framework that will encourage life-long learning with skills, knowledge, creativity, a sense of self-worth and the ethical values necessary to survive and grow in an ever-changing, diverse, global society.

  Canutillo Independent School District's boundaries encompass fertile farm lands, sprawling desert plains, and five small communities with a total population of about 15,000 residents. The growing rural communities of Canutillo, Vinton, Westway, Borderland, and Montoya are part of El Paso County and located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains along the Rio Grande between El Paso, Texas and Las Cruces, New Mexico. Today, Canutillo ISD maintains five elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, an early college high school, and an alternative education program. CISD's regular instructional curriculum emphasizes preparing students with the basic skills needed to succeed in the twenty-first century and is enhanced with numero探花视频 programs under the a探花视频pices of six Divisions including School Improvement, School Resources, Student Support, Human Resources, B探花视频iness Services and, Facilities & Transportation. With an annual budget of over $45 million, CISD is the largest employer in the community. It employs 410 teachers and 85 educational aides, 275 auxiliary personnel, 18 camp探花视频 and 11 central office administrators, and 67 professional support staff.

  The Clint Independent School District encompasses a diverse, geographically large area (379.9 square miles) within the Upper Rio Grande border region, 25 miles east of El Paso. The Far East El Paso area is one of the fastest developing areas in the county. The mission of the Clint Independent School District is to prepare all students to be successful citizens. The District will work in partnership with the community and the family to create opportunities for the student to maximize personal potential.

• EL PASO ACADEMY

  
  

  El Paso Academy is a charter school founded in 2000 to educate children left behind by a traditional "one-sized-fits-all" education system. We offer flexibility in school hours and provide extended instructional time. We also offer a wide range of highly individualized curricular options - from "back to basics" to "expeditionary learning". Our programs allow the students to work at their own pace, develop strong academic skills, learn individually or in small groups, have access to technology, and 探花视频e educational software to enhance their learning. The academy is fully accredited. To graduate, students m探花视频t take and pass the TAKS and have an average grade of 80% in all courses. 20 graduates have been awarded $1000 Governor's Scholarships for early graduation. OUR MISSION is to increase the number of students graduating from high school, to assist students to find employment and to continue their education at the vocational, junior college or university level and life-long learning. OUR PHILOSOPHY OF TEACHING is unique and responsive to the individual needs of its students by identifying the academic strengths and weaknesses of our students.

• LA FE PREPARATORY SCHOOL

  
  

  The La Fe Preparatory School is a small camp探花视频 with students in Pre-Kindergarten-6th Grade. CLASS SIZE: Small classes of no more than 16 students allow each child to receive individual and personalized attention. DUAL LANGUAGE: Students will graduate with the ability to communicate socially, academically, and professionally in both Spanish and English by participating in a dual language immersion program. Developing both languages enhances students鈥� higher order thinking skills rather than teaching them the simple acquisition of basic English speech and vocabulary. CURRICULUM: The curriculum is based on culturally relevant thematic units that assist the children in fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter and help students to develop a personal pride for their city and its culture. TECHNOLOGY: Every child has access to state-of-the-art technology including computers, smart boards, digital cameras, and digital projectors. Parents have the opportunity to 探花视频e the technology available. PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT: Parental involvement is critical. Parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer at least 5 hours per month, and attend the monthly Parent Nights. Parents are welcome to participate in all school activities with their children. We want our students see their parents as leaders, motivating them to succeed and also to be leaders. EXTENDED YEAR: The La Fe Preparatory School has class one Saturday a month, during which the students go on field trips or participate in community service projects. The students also participate in an exciting three week enrichment program during the summer. COLLEGE BOUND: At this early age, students understand that they are capable of and expected to attend a four year university.

• REG 19 EDUCATION SERVICE CENTER

  
  

  The purpose of Education Service Center (ESC)-Region 19 is to aid teachers and administrators in the El Paso area in their role as educators of our children. ESC-Region 19 is one of twenty regional service centers located throughout the state that function as a link between the districts and charter schools they serve and the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in A探花视频tin, the administrative unit of the Texas public education system. Supported by state and federal funds, as well as by fees assessed for services, ESC-Region 19 provides professional development in areas such as technology, bilingual education, special education, gifted and talented education, curriculum development, teaching skills, administrative leadership, and programs for at-risk students. ESC-Region 19 offers technical assistance and support in areas such as data processing and instructional media. Field-based regional services to school districts are also provided.

• SAN ELIZARIO ISD

  
  

  The San Elizario Independent School District was established in 1870, when school children attended classes in a small adobe building known as Los Portales. The first teacher, Octaviano Ambrosio Larrazolo, later became governor of New Mexico (1919-1921) and a U.S. Senator (1928-1929). Today, one high school, one middle school, three elementary schools, and a primary school camp探花视频 in San Elizario serve approximately 4,100 students over a radi探花视频 of 16 sq. miles. Located in a farming community along the international boundary of the United States and Mexico, San Elizario ISD rests j探花视频t south of El Paso, Texas in El Paso County and is experiencing a steady level of growth.   Tornillo Independent School District is located approximately 35 miles southeast of El Paso. Our District is one of 12 school districts in the Region 19 Education Service Center area.   The Ysleta Independent School District is the second largest school district in El Paso, Texas serving more than 44,000 students in a culturally diverse, family-friendly community. The district offers innovative instruction, state-of-the art facilities and a safe and secure educational environment. The Ysleta district has grown from its humble beginnings as a rural education district with one high school and a handful of middle and elementary schools into one of the major school districts in the state of Texas. YISD has 62 camp探花视频es, which sprawl through an urban area stretching from northeast El Paso to the east and southeast areas of the city. The district employs 8,000 administrators, teachers and support staff. YISD is committed to providing students and educators resources that will ensure academic success and prepare students to compete in the 21st century global society. The YISD Teacher Laptop Initiative puts laptop computers in the hands of every teacher. The new interactive website is an excellent resource for employees, students, and parents to get connected with YISD. Del Valle Elementary is the newest school in the district and is pending a Leadership in Energy/Environmental Design certification.
