  NEOLA provides the Columbia School District with a complete service for developing and updating Board Bylaws & Policies, Administrative Guidelines and Forms, Staff Handbooks and Student Handbooks in both electronic and printed format.NEOLA retains law firms in each state to provide legal reviews of published information and consult on continuing updates. NEOLA’s staff of retired superintendents provides most of the direct work with client school districts. Each manual reflects a legal review by a major school law firm and development by experienced school administrators.

Our mission is foc̽»¨ÊÓƵed on improving student success in Jackson County, and we do that by improving the quality of education in Jackson County, making it more cost-efficient, and helping students, parents, educators and community members get the most out of public education.The JCISD employs some of the best, brightest, and most-dedicated educators and professionals in the county. While we aim to fulfill the needs of the districts we serve, at times, we're also counted on to be educational leaders in the community through our programs, services and personnel. This service/leadership role provides ̽»¨ÊÓƵ with a diverse, yet well-defined mission.Three of the most visible programs operated by the JCISD are the Jackson Area Career Center (career and technical education), the Lyle A. Torrant Center (special education), and our Educators' Support initiatives, which includes literacy (Reading Recovery, DIBELS, etc.), curriculum and assessment, the Math and Science Center at Camp McGregor, Safe & Drug Free Schools, and Comprehensive Health. These initiatives have a significant impact on educators and the community and are important in helping our school districts accomplish their mission in their communities.
