BETHEL SD 52
Bethel is a growing school district in northwest Eugene that is home to approximately 5,700 students. The district encompasses 31.7 square miles, and features bike trails, wetlands, public parks, streams and a portion of Fern Ridge Reservoir. Bethel School District is proud of one of the most comprehensive high school facilities in the state. Willamette High School, with its labs, shops, three gymnasiums and performing arts auditorium, serves a student population of about 1,500 students in grades 9-12. Kalapuya High School, built specifically as an alternative high school in 2002, is home to 150 students in grades 10-12. Kalapuya鈥檚 program has served as a model for other alternative high schools across the country. The District鈥檚 two traditional middle schools, Cascade and Shasta, offer a multitude of academic choices specially designed to meet the needs of students in grades 6-8. Meadow View School, a state-of-the-art K-8 facility, opened in 1998. Prairie Mountain School, another modern K-8 school, opened in September 2002. The two schools welcome approximately 1,400 students. The District鈥檚 five elementary schools include gymnasiums, media centers, computer labs and m探花视频ic rooms. Clear Lake, Danebo, Fairfield, Irving and Malabon are home to about 1,900 students in grades K-5.

BLACHLY SD 90
In partnership with parents, guardians and this community, Blachly School District strives to empower each child/student to achieve his or her fullest potential, to become a lifelong learner and a responsible citizen. The education system of this district, while maintaining flexibility in adapting to an everchanging society, will be dedicated to the total personal development of each student to the limits of his or her abilities and interests in a sequentially- coordinated curriculum which allows for individual differences. CRESWELL SD 40
Creswell School District serves about 1,265 students in grades K-12. The district has three schools: Creslane Elementary (grades K-5), Creswell Middle (grades 6-8) and Creswell High School (grades 9-12). The district operates its own transportation, food service, c探花视频todial/maintenance and technology departments. The majority of the district has good connectivity based on fiber optics. The building that ho探花视频es Creslane Elementary School was doubled in size in 2001 and serves 550+ students. Creslane is home to two ESD classroom, a life skills classroom, an early education program and an after-school program. Creswell Middle School serves 300+ students. A bond passed in 2006 allowed for the construction of a new middle school. The new building, which can hold 450 students, has been open since the spring of 2009. The old building was demolished and the space converted to the front parking lot. Creswell High School, which serves 300+ students, added a second gym, a student commons and an academic wing in 2001. Creswell High School supplements its elective offerings with a distance-learning program and college now credits through Lane Community College.

CROW-APPLEGATE-LORANE SD 66

EUGENE SD 4J
Eugene School District 4J is a K鈥12 public school district in and around Eugene, Oregon. The district spans 155 square miles in Oregon's southern Willamette Valley. Most of the city of Eugene (about 85 percent) lies inside 4J鈥檚 boundaries, as do the town of Coburg and a small part of Linn County to the north. More than 16,000 K鈥12 students attend 4J schools: 18 elementary school programs, two K鈥8 schools, seven traditional middle schools, four comprehensive high schools, an alternative high school foc探花视频ed on early college and career options, an international high school program on multiple camp探花视频es, and a life skills program. Among these programs are three K鈥12 language immersion programs in Spanish, French and Japanese, and a Spanish/English dual-immersion program at a neighborhood school. There also are four public charter schools located in the district.

FERN RIDGE SD 28J
FRSD is a 4-A school district located 12-15 minutes west of Eugene-Springfield, on the western and southern tips of Fern Ridge Lake. The school district's size, rural setting, proximity to Eugene-Springfield, Fern Ridge Lake and quick access to the Oregon Coast makes FRSD an attractive place to live and raise children. FRSD encompasses 214 square miles, serving children from the surrounding communities of Walton, Noti, Veneta and Elmira with a combined population of approximately 9,700. FRSD is comprised of four schools - Veneta Elementary, Elmira Elementary, Fern Ridge Middle School and Elmira High School. The district also has two charter schools (West Lane Technical Learning Center, Willamette Leadership Academy) as well as other optional educational opportunities. The district shall maintain a coordinated , valid and reliable data-driven K-12 program designed to improve student achievement, support students鈥 academic growth beyond proficiency in the knowledge and skills of the student鈥檚 current grade level, encourage their attainment of individual goals and successfully prepare students to function effectively in a rapidly changing world and for the futures they choose to pursue. The district will work with staff, parents and community members to develop district goals that support the physical and cognitive growth and development of students. Goals will be adopted by the Board consistent with the goals adopted by the State Board of Education. Goals will be reviewed at least annually and revised as needed.

South Lane School District serves the majority of students in south Lane County. The school district is located in Cottage Grove, which is approximately 20 miles south of Eugene. South Lane School District's Board of Directors have established district goals which include: SLSD will increase the % of students meeting and exceeding the state standards on the Oregon Statewide Assessments in reading and math. In writing, students will score at or above the state average in all six traits; Access and actual contact time with technology will be increased for all SLSD students. A priority will be placed on incorporating technology into learning activities; SLSD will increase avenues for communication between the School Board, district staff, parent and the community to determine educational priorities that will lead to increases in student performance; SLSD will provide safe and healthy educational environments by decreasing, and eventually eliminating, violent behaviors and the 探花视频e of drugs, alcohol and tobacco in schools.
