Addison Community Schools is one of 12 local districts that make up the Lenawee Intermediate School District of Lenawee County, Michigan. Our district also includes parts of Hillsdale and Jackson counties. Wayne Gray Early Learning Center (preschool -2nd grades), Panther Elementary (grades 3-6), and the Jr./Sr. High Schools (grades 7-12) are all located in a residential setting within the village of Addison. Our district, however, includes extensive areas to the north, south, east, and west that are rich in warm, inviting communities. ACS serves children from the Village of Addison, Liberty Township, Rollin Township, Somerset Township, Wheatland Township and Woodstock Township.聽 We serve an area of more than 120 square miles.The Addison Community Schools district (ACS) is a relatively small district (2009-2010 student enrollment was 975) where administrators, teachers and support staff care for and encourage children. They nurture the learning process while challenging students to meet high standards of achievement. The size of the district allows teachers to know students well and personalize their instruction. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in the education of their children.Students throughout ACS are offered a wide variety of instructional programs and services. Elementary students experience a comprehensive instructional program based on Michigan benchmarks and standards that is designed to prepare them for the rigors of secondary education. Basic academic subjects are the core that permeates each student's day. The city of Tecumseh is approximately 30 miles southwest of Ann Arbor and 45 miles northwest of Toledo, Ohio.
