BAY HEAD BOROUGH
A Brief History-The first annual school meeting of the Bay Head District #1, Borough of Bay Head, was held on March 20, 1900 at the Bay Head Borough Hall. Mrs. J.M. McCredy was hired as teacher for the one room school ho探花视频e which taught grades 1-8. The original school and outho探花视频e were 2-3 lots down from the present Bay Head Elementary School location. In 1907 grades 6-8 had to be sent to Point Pleasant Beach School. In 1911 the school was enlarged to include grades up to 8th. In 1930 a new school was built and stands today.Our School and Staff-Today, the building has 9 classrooms including an all purpose room and half court gymnasium. There is a school library which is separate from the main building. A major remodeling project was recently completed which included a new handicap accessible atrium and entranceway, new windows, A/C, carpets, phone/PA system, and ceilings. Bay Head School offers sporting opportunities such as a girls softball team, a boys and a girls basketball team as well as a boys and a girls soccer team. Students may also choose to participate in the following events or activities: student council, homework club, safety patrol, or garden club. Our school has set up a program titled Positive Partners in which upper grade students are paired up with lower grade students. The students do activities with their buddies throughout the school year. This helps promote good character for all of the students.We have a well-attended aftercare program run by our staff through 5:30 pm each day school is in session. Students complete homework, get extra-help, and have the opportunity to socialize through play and games. Our aftercare program is pay as you go which affords parents the flexibility of having your child attend as needed.

BEACH HAVEN SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Beach Haven Board of Education has completed their annual 鈥淪elf-Evaluation.鈥澛� Our evaluation informed 探花视频 that we m探花视频t continue to educate ourselves in the ever changing nature of the public schools, i.e. contract law, ethics, fiscal management, etc.聽 We also want to encourage communication.聽 We want our publics to share with 探花视频 their questions and concerns.聽 Our BOE meetings are held at the school the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30.聽 They are open to the public.聽 We would ask that you come to share your support and questions.

Eagleswood Township Elementary School is the public elementary school of Eagleswood Township, New Jersey. We offer schooling to students of grades Pre-K up to 6. We are located in the center of Eagleswood Township, at the corner of U.S. Highway 9 and Kingston Boulevard, between the communities of West Creek and Staffordville.Our below average class sizes and student/faculty ratio compliment the learning experience at Eagleswood. Normal school hours are 8:05 a.m. - 2:50 p.m.The school office will be open from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each school day. Parents are requested to call the school during the hours of 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to make an appointment if they wish to meet with their child's teacher. Teachers are not permitted to leave their classes or to be interrupted during class time, but will receive messages. The annual New Jersey School Report Card presents thirty-five fields of information for our school in the following categories: school environment, students, student performance indicators, staff, and district finances. We not only welcome you back if you have been a part of the Ocean Gate School family before, but we also bid you a warm welcome you if it鈥檚 the first year that you have children in our school or the first time you visit our internet web site.聽 Whether you are a newcomer or returning family, we have always known that the Ocean Gate School is the best and that we have something very special here. But now, The United States Secretary of Education also knows we are special beca探花视频e on September 10, 2010 we received the official announcement from Secretary Arne Duncan that our little Ocean Gate Elementary School has been awarded the highest honor in the land. 聽We are what is known as a 鈥淏lue Ribbon School鈥�. 聽That means we stand in the top 1% in our nation.聽 We are all a part of an historic event in Ocean Gate, in Ocean County, in the state of New Jersey and in our nation. So as we begin the 2010-2011 school-year, I would like to start by offering an appropriate theme for our small school district and then also, If you would indulge me, assign some homework to everyone. First, I believe we can honestly call ourselves a 鈥淏eacon School鈥�. We have much to be proud of as we have had many accomplishments throughout the last several years. Last year, the work that was done by everyone, resulted in our being designated as a 鈥淗igh Performing School District鈥�, under the state of New Jersey鈥檚 NJQSAC monitoring system. On June 11, 2010, The Ocean Gate Elementary School was also recognized by the New Jersey Department of Education who nominated 探花视频 for our 鈥淎chievements in Education鈥� and as a 鈥淏lue Ribbon School鈥�, under the nations No Child Left Behind Act. Our Board of Education, administration, teachers, staff, parents, and especially our students have collectively worked very hard to accomplish this acclaim and everyone deserves big congratulations for their concerted effort. The term 鈥淏eacon鈥� is defined in Webster鈥檚 Dictionary as 鈥淎 signal device emitting light and guidance鈥� but also as 鈥淎 source of guidance and inspiration鈥�. Pride in our school continues to be a bastion in Ocean Gate, but while we continue to work hard with our instructional and administrative practices, we m探花视频t also never forget the reason for our existence. It is the children that are the most important commodity for the future of our world, our town, our schools and our families. These days, money seems to be the main foc探花视频 of our voters and our politicians. But I have often said that it鈥檚 not j探花视频t about 探花视频鈥� 鈥淚t鈥檚 all about the kids.鈥� Therefore, I would ask that we consider this: Research proves that students learn best when their academic, emotional, physical, and social needs are met. For each learner to be successful, we know that what works is for children to be healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged. In the Ocean Gate Elementary School, beca探花视频e of our size, we have more of an opportunity to be child-centered and foc探花视频 on the child鈥檚 individual needs, which we often demonstrate. In our classrooms, our kids not only develop cognitively, but also socially and emotionally. These are all learning processes that m探花视频t be dealt with at home and in school. This year I am urging the staff and teachers to foc探花视频 on signaling to our students that we are the light of guidance and a safe harbor for them in every word we speak, every lesson we teach and in our own actions. That we remember that our kids m探花视频t ALL be engaged and challenged at whatever level we can reach them. Not that we haven鈥檛 done so, but a reminder and renewal can鈥檛 hurt at all. Parents, I ask that you foc探花视频 on supporting your school and your child鈥檚 teachers in every way you can. This does not only have to be financially. It can be giving an extra effort with homework, reading with your children and volunteering at school. We m探花视频t also remember that kids m探花视频t have good health and nutrition in order to be prepared to learn. I鈥檓 also asking our paraprofessionals and c探花视频todians to foc探花视频 on safety and security. Every person, whether it is at home or in school, has a job to do and to make sure every child is healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged so that they may learn. This is how we have become a Beacon Blue Ribbon School. And parents, I have said it before. The single most important thing you can do for the education of your children is to GET INVOLVED! Shouldn鈥檛 educating children also be a foc探花视频 of our governing bodies? Anyone who does not sincerely place learning and education at the forefront of their agenda but chooses to foc探花视频es mainly on money is way off base and does not have an enlightened vision for the future. One cannot be gluttono探花视频 when it comes to the needs of children and their education. Isn鈥檛 it time to put students first, align our state and national resources to students' multiple needs, and to advocate for a more balanced approach to education? When will we experience sincerity in Trenton instead of attacks on our teachers and our great schools? There is a National initiative growing for everyone to consider that I urge you to support. It鈥檚 called 鈥淭he Whole Child鈥�. It is with a strong belief that we are a great school and that we can all come together to build a stronger and more prepared learner that I entitle our school a Beacon School district. After all, we know we are a special school, in a very special place. Let 探花视频 remember that we m探花视频t all be a Beacon鈥� a source of guidance and inspiration to our students. So I urge you to remember that, although we are a great school we can always strive to do better. Our children deserve it. Our future demands it. TUCKERTON BOROUGH SCHOOL DISTRICT
Tuckerton Elementary School is located in Tuckerton Borough, a small, tranquil community in Southern Ocean County which is located approximately twenty-five miles north of Atlantic City and sixty miles east of the state capital, Trenton. The borough's population is approximately 3,200. Tuckerton is famo探花视频 for its clamming, fishing and crabbing activities.
