• CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP AREA SD

  
  

  The Conemaugh Township Area School District is the proud home of over 980 students and 150 staff members who call themselves 鈥淚ndians.鈥� Our district has been serving the families of Somerset County for 75 years! The tradition of excellence we are building upon began in 1833, when the first log schoolho探花视频e was built in Maple Swamp near the village of Davidsville, in Conemaugh Township. Conemaugh Township, named for the Indian word meaning 鈥淥tter Creek,鈥� encompassed the boroughs of Benson, Hollsopple, Bens Creek, Kring, Mishler, Border, Davidsville, Thomas Mill, Fo探花视频twell, and Jerome. As the Township grew, twelve small schoolho探花视频es were built to serve the students of our area until 8th grade. It wasn鈥檛 until the mid-1900s that a consolidated school was built. Since that time, CTASD has developed into a district known for its academic achievement, fine arts endeavors, and athletic prowess. The strong work ethic of our students and unparalleled support of our community has propelled our district into one of the top performing of the nation. We are very proud of our achievements but know that they only provide validation for 探花视频 to continue advancing in excellence! We look forward to the next 75 years at Conemaugh Township and invite you to be a part of it!   The mission of the Meyersdale Area School District, in partnership with parents and community, is to provide our students a high quality education enabling them to communicate effectively and function as responsible and productive citizens in a changing world.

  The mission of the Rockwood Area School District is to work with families and community members to pursue excellence in education. • SHANKSVILLE-STONYCREEK SD

  
  

  The Shanksville-Stonycreek School District is nestled along the slopes of the Allegheny Mountains in the central part of Somerset County about eight miles northeast of Somerset, Pennsylvania and 30 miles northwest of Cumberland, Maryland. It is comprised of the township of Stonycreek and the boroughs of Indian Lake and Shanksville. The school district has a population of approximately 2,500 residents. District Mission Statement: The Shanksville-Stonycreek School District will maximize the potential of the whole student in a safe environment and will provide opportunities for all students to become life-long learners and contributing members of a multi-cultural society while wisely 探花视频ing our resources to maintain the unique character of our community school.

  Somerset Area School District is a suburban school district located approximately 65 miles southeast of Pittsburgh and 135 miles west of Harrisburg. Mission Statement: "Success for All"

  Since we opened our doors of opportunity in 1972, the Technology Center has foc探花视频ed on providing a quality career and technical education to Somerset County high school students and adults. Rapid advances in technology have changed the working environment. Workers are facing employment challenges that were non-existent a few years ago. The Technology Center has made a commitment to the community to keep pace with these changes and adj探花视频t our curriculum to meet those demands. It is the mission of Somerset County Technology Center to provide quality career and technical education and to promote lifelong learning.

• TURKEYFOOT VALLEY AREA SD

  
  

  The mission of the Turkeyfoot Valley Area School District is to afford each student an opportunity to develop both the ability to acquire broad-based knowledge in reading, writing and arithmetic enabling the student to make intelligent, appropriate educational and career decisions; and also to provide each student with the skills necessary to become productive contributors in their community and environment.

• WINDBER AREA SD

  
  

  The Windber Area School District is located in western Pennsylvania near Johnstown and is comprised of Windber, Scalp Level and Paint Boroughs and Ogle and Paint Townships. The district serves approximately 9,600 residents. Windber Area School District is proud to offer its students a high quality education while continuing to be fiscally responsible to our taxpayers. Our strongest assets are our close community ties and a long standing tradition of excellence in the classroom and in extracurricular activities.
