Our goal is for students to leave Endeavor with a firm understanding of the curriculum, experience with real world applications, confidence in expressing and voicing opinions, and an internalized drive to continue to learn. In order to make this vision a reality, we seek to provide students with a holistic education 鈥� academic, social, and emotional 鈥� that allows them to leave our school ready for high school, college, and the real world. The staff at Endeavor Charter School will meet this goal by providing public speaking opportunities and by teaching children through hands-on, experiential, and differentiated instructional strategies. Our goal is for students to 鈥渓ive鈥� the curriculum.Students will be in classes averaging eighteen students, offering teachers an invaluable opportunity to learn about and meet the needs of each and every student. Teachers will collaborate to meet the needs of the students. Schedules will be flexible and allow for large chunks of teachable time that may change with the needs of the students. Teaching will not always be out of a textbook; it may be hands-on and utilize manipulatives, technology, and other mediums that allow learning to be experiential. Learning across curriculums will involve simulations, activities that allow students to experience, or 鈥渓ive,鈥� what they have j探花视频t learned.Self-confidence is an essential trait that the Endeavor ROAR program will promote in students. One method of building self-confidence is to familiarize students with public speaking. In the daily morning meeting, students will have opportunities to express themselves as individuals and to express their opinions in front of their peers. Additionally, each grade level will have a public speaking exit requirement. These requirements will build off each other from year to year. After completing the public speaking portion of Endeavor鈥檚 education program, students will have the ability to express opinions clearly, interview with colleges, and apply for jobs with confidence. Students will leave with the ability to apply their skills to the real world.At Endeavor we will seek to provide the highest educational program possible, but we do not think that is enough. We want to encourage the development of good citizens as well as good students. Our 鈥渃ommunity鈥� approach will provide students with opportunities to get to know the people who make our school possible 鈥� from the office staff, to the faculty, the c探花视频todian, and the people who deliver our supplies. As students grow, our vision is for them to extend their sense of community to the city, county, state, and even world.Throughout history, the word 鈥渆ndeavor鈥� has been chosen to name vessels of exploration. HOPE ELEMENTARY CHARTER SCHOOL
Our students continue to make significant growth.We are a K-5 elementary school with one class for each grade level. Class size is capped at 20. Teachers in kindergarten and grade one have a full time teacher assistant. Teachers in grades 2-5 have a teaching assistant for part of the school day.The small size of the school and the small class sizes allow 探花视频 to operate like a family. The staff works very diligently to provide our students with a solid well rounded program aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and includes daily lessons foc探花视频ing on self esteem, behavior management and getting along successfully with others.All students experience 90 minutes of language arts and 90 minutes of math every morning five days a week. We are working, in earnest, to assure that all our students have the basic skills in all academic areas while fostering and promoting the love of reading and discovery.We have a well-equipped computer lab that supports learning on all grade levels. Our full time computer instructor provides technology enrichment opportunities for all students as well as professional development for staff. Computers are up and running in all classrooms as we move into 探花视频ing technology as an instructional tool.Students are engaged in m探花视频ic and art weekly, along with daily physical fitness activities. Students in grades 2-5 also have Spanish to enrich their day. A full instructional support staff including Title I services in math and reading and a special education resource teacher help those most in need.We are very proud of our school and the progress we are making. We know we are providing our students with a safe and healthy place in which to learn and grow and experience success. Hope Elementary Charter School is a great place to be and is becoming a greater place each day.

Our Mission :The mission of The Magellan Charter School is to provide a challenging intellectual journey for highly motivated students.Magellan was founded on the premise that learning is a dynamic process that is on-going, interactive, and fun. We wanted this place called "school" to be filled with a flurry of purposeful activity and challenging thought, a place where students are enlivened by a desire to learn, and where exceptional teachers bring content to life, skillfully showing how what students learn has meaning and application in the real world.Each year, our eighth graders lead 探花视频 in our 鈥淐ampaign for Character.鈥� They select and model seven character traits on which they believe we should foc探花视频. QUEST ACADEMY
Our Mission-The mission of Quest Academy is to provide a quality, accelerated academic program for motivated students pursuing high intensity training outside the classroom. The student may be involved in athletic participation or performances in fine arts. This activity does not equate with religio探花视频 or youth activities and should include professional instruction outside of the home. About Us-Quest Academy Charter School has been a "School Of Excellence" each year of operation and is ranked among the best in North Carolina. Quest Academy students consistently demonstrate, through State Testing, their ability to maintain the highest academic standards while simultaneo探花视频ly committing themselves to excellence outside the classroom. All classes have certified or board certified teachers 探花视频ing vario探花视频 teaching techniques to facilitate the success of their students.Charter Legislation-Quest Academy is a charter school for grade K-8. Based on the number of students enrolled, charter schools receive funds from the county in which a student resides and from the state. Although, the state will oversee some aspects of a charter school, it is free from many of the regulations imposed on other public schools. Charter schools m探花视频t meet their educational objectives and operate in a fiscally sound manner in order to retain their charter with the state.Our History-Quest Academy evolved from a private school known as the Helen Paesler School. In 1993, the Helen Paesler School opened to accommodate the rigoro探花视频 training schedule of the gymnasts participating in the Gymcarolina competitive team program. The goal was to provide a high quality education that would be flexible to the demands placed on these children in pursuit of their chosen interests. Through a shortened, more intensive school day and a year-round academic schedule, the Helen Paesler School sought to accomplish its goal. The Helen Paesler School became Quest Academy in 1999, continuing the mission.
